Challenge:
Swagelok hired solution provider Compuware to create training for their employees for an expanding business opportunity in pharmeceuticals.
I served in a number of roles creating content for a series of courseware to train sales employees about Swagelok, its culture, their specialized product line of valves and fittings.
These products are used in the pharmaceuticals and food processing industries. The courseware explains why Swagelok brand products are the absolute best and designed for use in these industries. It also explains bioprocessing and how their products fit at every step in this process.
After completing the courses, product distributors learn to identify and promote sales opportunities with clients. The CD-ROM training system was developed in Macromedia Authorware with animations created in Flash.

Solution:
I had a number of specialized roles on this project.
Several lessons were spruced with short animations to help
clarify mechanical terminology such as the parts of a screw
thread. I volunteered to work with microbiologist SMEs creating
static and animated illustrations representing the bio-processing
system. This became a critical section of the bio-process training module. Among my achievements, I created illustrations which simplified
intra-cellular and extra-cellular extractions of raw material.
