Challenge:
Our Incentives group created an internal promotion using a chalkboard and a cursor that wrote theme messages. Our creative directors asked if I could do something like this for an upcoming project. I said I'd like to give it a try. Effects to create included some kind of pull-down map, chalk on blackboard, erasing, writing and classroom sound effects.

Solution:
I enjoy a challenge and what is unique about this was not only the chalkboard but a customized pull-down map. I developed this in Swift-3D. This also proved effective in wiping the chalkboard instead of merely erasing. Notice how the roll gets smaller as the shade drops. The chalk is a simple effect in Photoshop and using handlettering fonts.
We've re-used this design for several clients. There are three versions, each promotes key benefits of using Maritz to plan and run our clients' events. I was pleased that the footprint was 300 KB. I think filesize should be as small as possible. Below is the second in our three-part series for car parts manufacturer, Delphi Delco.
